Aromatic, herbaceous, eclectic: all this and much more is Amaro Ramazzotti , the perfect liqueur to accompany after dinner and brighten up an evening with friends. Ramazzotti is the oldest Amaro house, founded in Milan in 1815 by Ausano Ramazzotti : its amaro is produced for the first time in Milan in 1815, the city to which it is inextricably linked, celebrated in almost all carousels. In 1848 Ramazzotti opened a bar near the Teatro della Scala, in Via Canonica 86. It was the first aperitif not to include wine as a base, and was born from the maceration of at least 33 varieties of spices, roots and herbs . Among the ingredients (the recipe is still secret), we know the Sicilian orange peel, star anise, cardamom and cloves, which are reduced to powder and mixed with caramelized sugar and alcohol. Not only bitters, its range consists of various types of spirits, including a very original Sambuca and Il Premio , a Grappa-Amaro resulting from an ancient secret recipe developed by Ausano Ramazzotti, to create a unique product to dedicate to his children, Eugenio and Giuseppe, to whom he leaves the leadership of the Ramazzotti brothers. Preserved intact until today, it has been recovered from the family's historical archives and is the basis of this unique blend based on Amaro Ramazzotti and Grappa di Nebbiolo aged 36 months. A must try!
