Between Umbria and Tuscany, important wineries of the national wine scene belong to Tenute del Cerro which have established a solid link with the territory, dissecting the most peculiar elements of each denomination and operating on the border between the historicity of tradition and the future of the innovation of methods and approaches to viticulture. Starting from Fattoria del Cerro , the largest private company to produce the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano , obtained from a Sangiovese strain typical of this area which for the particularity of giving the wine a pronounced hint of plum has earned the name of Prugnolo Dear . The cellar has a wide variety of hills at different exposure which allow it to select the best quality grapes and produce three versions of the Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG.

Then continue with La Poderina which offers a range of four wines intrinsically linked with the territory of Montalcino : a Brunello Annata and the Brunello Riserva "Poggio Abate", then a Rosso di Montalcino and a Moscadello di Montalcino. The maturation of La Poderina wines takes place in French oak barrels as well as in cask and the production is stressed in favor of high quality, with yields of grapes much more stringent than those required by the specification. Concluding with Còlpetrone , one of the most appreciated wineries in Montefalco and irreducible supporter of Montefalco Sagrantino which proposes in the dry, passito and selection versions, the " Sacer ", which refers to the Latin root of the name Sagrantino, "sacer" in fact stands for sacred.
