Los Vascos, Chile's pioneering company , was born from one of the most important families in the world of wine, that of the Rothschilds , already historic Bordeaux winemakers and owners of Château Lafite and Château Mouton Rothschild .

The Rothschilds acquired in 1988 the territories of about 220 hectares of vineyards around the municipality of Peralillo in the renowned region of the Valle de Colchagua , where the Echenique family of Basque origins had grown vines since 1750 . A privileged terroir with a mild climate , protected from winter frosts, where the Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay grapes find ideal conditions for growing.

Among the company's products, Los Vascos Cabernet Sauvignon is certainly an interesting experiment in the Chilean art of making wine: an elegant wine with soft tannins that has aroused the appreciation of critics with James Suckling's 92 points in the vintage 2015. While among the whites stand out Chardonnay Los Vascos and Sauvignon Los Vascos , fresh and balanced wines, among the hints of spices, flowers and fruits, also recognized by James Suckling with 90 Points for Sauvignon 2015 and 92 for the 2015 Chardonnay .
