Leone de Castris
The Salento peninsula that blooms
The Apulian company Leone De Castris , founded in 1665, is not only famous for being the first to bottle wine in the region, but also for having produced the first rosé wine in Italy, the "Five Roses" (93 pt Maroni). From Negroamaro grapes, it will delight your senses with fruity hints of cherry and wild strawberry, while in the mouth it is pleasantly fresh, soft and persistent . It is recommended to combine it with risotto and fish dishes, but it will also be excellent with Salento frisa!
