Cocchi di Cocconato d'Asti is a company specialized in the production of flavored wines, especially aperitifs and vermouths , which are particularly suitable for the preparation of cocktails, or polybibites, the name with which they were renamed by the Italian futurists. Giulio Cocchi, founder and creator of the original recipes with which all the products of the house are elaborated, underwent futurist influences - as evidenced by the cockerel on the label of his American Aperitif - which prompted him to a creative reinterpretation of classic recipes and ways of service.

Among the most successful products there is certainly the Americano , an aperitif based on mugwort, gentian, cinchona and orange peel, which became a fundamental ingredient of the famous Vesper Martini by James Bond . But the Cocchi company also played an important role in relaunching the name "Vermouth di Torino" among the high-end vermouths, thanks to its historic Turin Vermouth, a bitter but substantially sweet vermouth. There is also the Amaro version "After Theater" , with a double dose of cinchona and rhubarb, particularly interesting for mixing Negroni.

Another iconic product of Giulio Cocchi is undoubtedly Barolo Chinato , which the company helped defend from a premature death: an ideal flavored wine to be enjoyed alone but which can find a favorable combination with a good cigar, with dark chocolate or for the construction of the King Negroni.
