Casa D'Ambra is a historic and important wine company that laid the foundations of Ischia 's oenology , which emerged as a model for its ability to interpret the local grape varieties, Biancolella , Falanghina , Forastera , especially those of very ancient origin that risked to disappear, like San Lunardo or Uva Rilla. The vineyards are located at the foot of the extinct Epomeo volcano, in highly suitable but extremely difficult positions for viticulture , which here can be defined as fully heroic .

The production includes wines with elegant and delicate aromas, with a clear mineral imprint, finished with a pleasant touch of bitter almond on the palate, which reinforces their complexity. The highest point among the labels of Casa D'Ambra can be reached with the Biancolella from Tenuta Frassitelli, a true cru on the island of Ischia whose value was immediately recognized by the high critic Luigi Veronelli who advised to plant Biancolella exactly in this area. A wine of historical importance, the first Tre Bicchieri Gambero Rosso of the Campania region .

A singular anecdote says that the graphic motif of the labels has been agreed no less than with Monsieur Chandon, who granted Mario D'Ambra, the then owner of the winery, the opportunity to use the characteristic and original shape of the Dom Pérignon labels for its Ischia wines.
