In the sapling vineyards of Pantelleria, "the daughter of the wind", now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this family grows the zibibbo grape, from which a large muscat of Pantelleria is produced, produced in the cellar on the island. The Passito di Pantelleria is made from the same grapes dried in the August sun on reed trellises: here is Pellegrino, the world's first producer of muscat and passito di Pantelleria . Since 1880 the Pellegrino family has enhanced the Sicilian autochthonous vines by producing excellent wines in western Sicily. The great microclimatic and morphological variety of the territory allows to produce very different wines, all of character; strong wines, never banal and with an unmistakable personality: the portrait of Sicily. From the entirely organic vineyards, in full respect of nature, the Tareni monovarietal line and the wines of the family estates are born, each with a specific vocation: Kelbi for Catarratto, Salinaro and Gazzerotta for Grillo. Not to mention Gibelè , Zibibbo in purity, born from the clayey volcanic soils of the province of Trapani, with an extremely evocative name , which refers to the island of the dammusi, a particular architectural structure typical of Sicily. Let yourself be inspired by its aromas of jasmine and lavender , it will reward you in persistence and aromaticity.
