Sicilia IGT Nero d'Avola Merlot Triskelè 2017 Duca di Salaparuta
Description
Sicily Triskelè was born in the Suor Marchesa di Duca di Salaparuta estate, located in the municipality of Butera on the Riesi axis, in the province of Caltanissetta.
It is made from Merlot and Nero d'Avola grapes, harvested and selected by hand starting from the second half of September. Fermentation takes place, with maceration, at a controlled temperature of 28-30 °. After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages in oak barriques for at least 10-12 months and in bottle for another 10-12 months.
The Trisckelè has an intense ruby red color with garnet reflections. The nose opens with a complex spicy vanilla scent, enriched with fruity notes of morello cherry.
On the palate it is warm and velvety with a good structure and a persistent aromatic finish.
Perfect in combination with red meat dishes and aged cheeses.
