Serrapetrona DOC Falcotto 2016 Fontezoppa

100% Vernaccia Nera grapes for an intense and mineral red wine, a tribute to this indigenous grape variety, Falcotto comes to life from limestone and sandy soil, facing south. The composition of the soil and the exposure of the vineyards make it a warm and welcoming wine , which will make a special moment unique.

Alcoholic fermentation, as well as malolactic fermentation, take place in steel and, subsequently, the wine ages for 4 months on the lees in steel, 12 months in barrique and about 12 in bottle.

Ruby red in color, it opens to the nose with a palette of hints among which mineral and spicy notes stand out, defined by light sensations of black cherries and violets. The sip is round, full-bodied and easy to drink.

It is the ideal wine to forget in the cellar for 4-5 years, to find it in the most dazzling glass ever. Excellent in combination with a good platter of mature cheeses, and meat-based second courses, especially if grilled.
