Raspberry jam, touches of fresh pepper leaf, finish with nice iodization. Tense and dense mouth, nice compactness, excellent extract and iodized tannins. Closing with acid-fruity tension.

The Primitivo from the Collection of the Count of Villa da Filicaja originates from the company's vineyards located in the province of Brindisi in the heart of the Primitivo di Manduria DOC.

Wine from 100% Primitivo grapes, harvested early in small boxes. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks after which it matures for 6 months in American oak barriques, in order to enhance the tannins and structure. Further refinement in the bottle follows.

It appears in the glass of a beautiful dark ruby red with intense violet reflections. The nose gives elegant aromas of red fruits that leave room for intriguing spicy notes. It is a full-bodied, soft and rich wine. The closure ends on a vanilla and cocoa finish.

To be paired with stuffed pasta first courses, it is excellent in the company of aged cheeses.
