Oltrepò Pavese Metodo Classico DOCG 1870 Gran Cuvée Storica 2012 Giorgi

The Classic Method Sparkling Wine Giorgi 1870 comes from the municipalities of Montecalvo Versiggia, S. Maria della Versa and Rocca de 'Giorgi, from some of the most suitable areas of Oltrepò Pavese.

It is obtained exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes, harvested in boxes between the end of August and the first days of September. After a soft pressing of the grapes, the only must is sent to a controlled temperature fermentation which takes place in stainless steel tanks. The second fermentation takes place by refermentation in the bottle according to the Classic Method, with aging in the bottle for at least 36 months.

Intense straw yellow color with golden reflections, it has a fine and abundant perlage, with excellent persistence. The nose releases a large and caressing bouquet, with notes of sage, mint, vanilla and apricot. In the mouth it is dry and harmonious, with a velvety consistency.

Excellent as an aperitif, it is excellent throughout the meal.
