Langhe Nebbiolo DOC 2018

The Langhe Nebbiolo Sabaudo originates from pure Nebbiolo grapes, from the vineyards of the municipality of Monforte d'Alba. The soils are clayey, calcareous, and this gives the wine a deeply expressive character. The label could not be more eloquent and represents Camillo Benso Conte di Cavour, the great Turin statesman, among the leading figures of the Italian Risorgimento.

Immediately after the harvest, the grapes are pressed and left to ferment in steel, and then rest for 14 months in large Slavonian and French oak barrels.

The wine brings to the eye a bright ruby red color, while it gives the nose pleasant hints of ripe red fruit, among which majestic currants and plums stand out. On the palate it is decisive, with character, a wine with a great personality: excellent persistence and long finish.

It is the ideal wine to nobly accompany all meat dishes. Must try with chestnuts.
