Franciacorta DOCG Cuvée Prestige Rosé Ca' del Bosco
Description
A wine that celebrates shades of pink, the color of sunset, which is neither white nor red and expresses its sweet shade. The color of Ca 'del Bosco cuvée Prestige Rosé is the result of a short maceration of the red Pinot Noir grapes, which is encountered while waiting for an almost suspended landscape, with Chardonnay.
It originates from 3 vineyards in Chardonnay, whose average age is 29 years, which are located in the municipalities of Erbusco, Iseo, Passirano and Cazzago San Martino, and 17 vineyards in Pinot Noir, with an average age of 22 years, which located in the municipalities of Erbusco, Adro and Passirano. Its grapes are carefully harvested by hand and harvested in the second half of August.
The winemaking process is slow, delicate and fascinating: Cuvée Prestige Rosé comes from the separate vinification of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes; the “pink” maceration is carried out for 24-36 hours, the time to capture the moment in which the magic of the coloring takes place. Only later, the must, separated from the skins, ferments in small barrels and in steel vats at controlled temperature and the Chardonnay grapes are vinified in the traditional way.
After 8 months of aging, the second magic ritual takes place, that of the creation of the cuvée, which takes the form of assembling the base wines of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. A light salmon colored cuvée with minute and persistent perlage. It has a broad nose with floral notes of rose and peony, with hints of pomegranate and strawberry.
A delicate yet extraordinary wine, the ideal companion for a romantic evening, to be sipped alone or to be combined with a splendid fish-based dinner, by candlelight.
