Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Colline Teramane DOCG 2012 Fantini Farnese
Description
The Colline Teramane Montepulciano d'Abruzzo by Fantini Farnese is born in vineyards located in the Teramo municipalities of Colonnella and Roseto degli Abruzzi.
It is produced exclusively with Montepulciano grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand. Fermentation takes place, with maceration in contact with the skins, in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature for 20 days. Subsequently, the wine ages for over 12 months in wooden barrels and in bottles for a further 6 months, before being marketed.
It has a ruby red color with garnet reflections. The nose opens with intense and persistent aromas of spices, with hints of chocolate and tar, which blend well with the fruit. On the palate it is structured and of great balance, rightly tannic.
Perfect to accompany rich first courses and red meats, this wine is ideal in combination with appetizers based on cold cuts and aged cheeses.
