Champagne Brut AOC La Grande Année Rosé 2007 Bollinger

Grande Année Rosé is produced by the famous Bollinger maison only in vintages considered exceptional, from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes from 14 Grand and Premier Cru vineyards respectively in the Aÿ and Verzenay areas for Pinot Nero, Cramant and Oger for Chardonnay. After a fermentation carried out exclusively in barrique, it rests for a period of 6 years on its own lees.

In the glass it takes on a coral pink color that introduces a bouquet of red currant and dried figs with menthol nuances, blond tobacco and withered flowers. The sip is of remarkable finesse and good structure, in which notes of plum and kirsch are recognized, together with hints of cut hay.

It goes well with noble poultry such as quail and duck breast, it is excellent with oriental cuisine. Try it with a rhubarb and red fruit crumble.
