Champagne Extra Brut Blanc de Noirs AOC 2014 Philipponnat

The Champagne Blanc de Noirs Extra Brut from Philipponnat is made with the first pressing of Pinot Noir grapes, coming from the Premier Cru and Grand Cru vineyards of the Montagne de Reims and Mareuil-sur-Aÿ.

The vinification takes place partly in steel and partly in wood with malolactic fermentation, after which it is assembled and refined for at least 5-7 years on the lees, in which the maximum complexity of the wine develops and its secondary aromas are highlighted and tertiary.

Golden yellow color of medium intensity, with creamy and light bubbles, with a beautiful persistence, it expresses evident sensations of citrus and white flowers on the nose. On the palate it is mineral and broad, expressing the elegant vinosity and fruitiness typical of Pinot Noir, as well as its structure and a nice volume, which close on a finely toasted finish.

Perfect in the company of game, magnificent foie gras but it is also exceptional fresh, served as an aperitif.
