Description

A wine that comes from 100% Barbera grapes in the Monforte d'Alba vineyard. Autochthonous Piedmontese grape, among the most loved and appreciated in Italy, is exalted in this wine which is the emblem of the terroir of origin. The soil is particularly clayey and this gives the wine a splendid minerality. All its Piedmont is expressed, as well as in the blend, also on the label, which represents the great Garibaldi, patriot, general and politician, born in Nice in 1807.

Once the grapes arrive in the cellar, the pressing and cold maceration takes place for 2 days. Fermentation takes place in steel vats at controlled temperature for 8 days, with a short maceration at the end. Refine in large Slavonian barrels for 10 months.

It radiates the glass with its intense ruby red color, while hints of ripe red fruit stand out on the nose. On the palate it is fresh, dry and long lasting.

It is the most suitable wine for marrying first courses of the land. Excellent with red sauces and well seasoned, it is harmoniously celebrated with a plate of tortellini in broth. Try it with pizza.
