Alsace AOC Pinot Gris Clos Jebsal Trie Spéciale Sélection de Grains Nobles 2010 Zind Humbrecht

The Pinot Gris Clos Jebsal Sélection de Grains Nobles of the Domaine Zind-Humbrecht is an expression of Alsatian excellence.

It comes from a very careful selection carried out on individual Pinot Gris berries, when they are attacked by the noble Botrytis Cinerea during the over-ripening phase. The vineyards are located in the Alsace area characterized by the milder climate and favorable to an early vegetative cycle of the plant. The soils are very steep, defined by an extraordinary minerality made of chalk and marl. Attention to meticulous selection is followed by an equally accurate winemaking, an essential prerequisite for bottling a true champion.

Golden yellow, dense, at sight. The perfume is extremely complex, sculpted in its tones of dried apricot, canned peach, acacia honey, wax and a spicy note of cinnamon. A mineral background and a light menthol trail complete the bouquet. The taste is as enthralling as the perfume. There is a great balance in the soft and fresh sip, rich in body and aromatic persistence.

To be combined with a blue goat or cow's milk.
